Texas Lt Gov. Dan Patrick: "There are more important things than living"

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick was speaking with Tucker Carlson on his program last evening about his questioning of shutting down the economy over the Coronavirus pandemic where he made a statement that he will now forever be remembered for: "there are more important things than living." Patrick was making his point that it is very important to open back up the economy and he sees the effects of closing down the economy in his own state of Texas. He was trying to stress the seriousness of the closing but in doing so he put his foot in his mouth and misspoke when he said this:

Texas is starting the reopening of the economy process next week and this was Texas Lieutenant Governor trying to justify that. Clearly he used the wrong phrase when he made this justification and we can see where he is trying to come from but I think we can all agree how poorly this choice of words were...
