Supreme Court sides with Colorado baker

Today, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to make a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. It was a 7-2 ruling, deciding the issue of whether a business owner can refuse to serve a same-sex couple.

In July 2012, Charlie Craig and David Mullins of Denver asked Masterpiece Cakeshop, owned by Jack Phillips, to make a custom wedding cake. Phillips refused because it was for a same-sex couple.

However, the state civil rights commission sanctioned Phillips after a formal complaint from the couple

Phillips has said he lost business and had to let employees go because of the controversy. Is this a victory for free speech and for all business owners?
