Up next in the line up of Disney's live action film remakes? Dumbo! I have mixed feelings about this one. The 5 year old in me who graced the famous ride at Magic Kingdom last year (I mean years ago...), is intrigued and excited but the Nana in me feels like this story is going to be an unsettling one. I personally don't like sad stories surrounding animals so something tells me the idea of Dumbo being enslaved by a circus highlighted in a "real" way is going to upset me. It's one thing to showcase it in cartoon form, and that's still upsetting but feeling so real will bring out stronger emotions.

I'll still see this movie because I'm curious and it's Disney but I'm not as excited about this one as I would be about say the Lion King! Now that's one of my top favorite Disney movies so I'm all about that (even though Mufasa dies & it still hurts). It's something about the enslavement of animals such as in a circus, just bothers me and I'm against so that's why the Dumbo story I shy away from...
