In honor of the passing of Sir Roger Moore, I’ve decided to match the last 7 Presidents (Which happens to coincide with the Presidents of my lifetime) to their appropriate Bond flick.  Keep in mind, these are exclusively Roger Moore Bond films… and awaaay we go…

Jimmy Carter:  “For Your Eyes Only” – After Moonraker, the franchise wanted a return to its roots.  Jimmy Carter’s Presidency was kind of like that.  Plus, much like the first year of my life, I slept through a lot of it…

Ronald Reagan:  “Moonraker” – A giant cloaked space station?  Check.  California backdrop?  Check.  If we could manage to give Ollie North metal teeth, we’d have a triple crown…

George H.W. Bush:  “A View to a Kill” - Soviet intrigue, Silicon Valley rising, widely panned by critics; very much a diet-Reagan four years.  It evokes “Eh, it happened.”  But, if you had Christopher Walken in the role of Saddam, well…

Bill Clinton:  “The Spy Who Loved Me” - Seriously, outside of Bond himself (And pick-a-Kennedy), was there a President who “Loved” more than Slick Willy?  Plus, the Submarine innuendos practically write themselves...

George W. Bush:  “Live and Let Die” – While it didn't have wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, it did have drugs and havoc in New Orleans.  Paint Kanye West's face like a skull and end scene.  Plus, if there was a President who would ride a hovercraft across a rode, my money is on Dubya.

Barack Obama:  “The Man with the Golden Gun” – I thought about this for Bill Clinton, but… In all honesty, Obama was the media darling version of King Midas.   In one shot, he turned the world into "Gold."  Plus, can’t you just see John Kerry following him around saying “Oui, Monsieur Scaramanga?”

Donald Trump:  “Octopussy” -   Come on.  Who didn’t see that one coming?  Plus, it’s got backgammon, twin knife throwers, and a clown with a Fabergé egg.  Do we really not think that’s just a normal Tuesday at Trump Tower?
