Keith Urban has been on tour this summer and is in NJ for a concert show in Camden, NJ this week. While visiting New Jersey, he decided to stop at a local coffee shop, Wawa, for a cup of coffee. Apparently Urban was a little short on cash when it came time to pay. A lovely retired teacher, Ruth Reed, decided to pick up his tab. She unknowingly offered to pay thinking nothing of it. Keith has a somewhat bohemian/disheveled look so Reed most likely thought he was down on his luck! She apparently made a promise to herself that every week she would help someone in need. She posted a picture on Facebook explaining her reasons and what happened with Urban:
"For three years, I have made a resolution to once a week treat someone at Wawa. Occasionally it happens more than once a week," she explained. "This man was short a few dollars. He asked a lady with him if she had money. I jumped in and said I would pay and explained why. He thanked me and asked my name. I asked him his and he told me it was Keith. I said that he did look like Keith Urban. He said he was."
Lucky her, huh!? Man, I wish I was in a Marylou's or something while Keith Urban just so happened to be popping by after or before a show at Gillette. Now that would be magical!
