That time a DA disregarded the the judge's gag order in the Guyger case...

The Dallas based trial involving the ex-police officer Amber Guyger just started yesterday. For those who do not know about this case, ex-police officer Guyger shot an innocent African American man when she walked into the wrong apartment, thinking it was her own and that he was an intruder. Guyger was on the Dallas police force for 4 years when this incident took place. She was fired from the department following this incident and initially charged with manslaughter before a grand jury charged her with manslaughter. Yesterday was day one of the trial. Prior to the trial even beginning, Dallas County District Court Judge Tammy Kemp, who is overseeing the trial, issued a gag order on all parties involved; in other words no talking to anyone about the case outside the court room throughout the course of the trial. That did not last very long when a District Attorney assigned to the case spoke out in an interview the night before the first day! Judge Kemp was less than pleased to hear this happened...

Have you ever seen quite a dramatic eye roll as this? I don't blame her! What part about a strict gag order do people not understand?

The trial is already off to a great start on day one. We will see where this trial goes...Ex-officer Amber Guyger could face a maximum charge of life in prison if she is found guilty.
