Eddie Murphy slams Cosby during SNL Monologue; Cosby's publicist claps back

Eddie Murphy came back to SNL to host a show celebrating their 40th anniversary of the program. Murphy started out on the show at the age of 19 back in 1980. During Murphy's run on SNL he created memorable characters like Buckwheat, Dion, Gumby, Mister Robinson, and Velvet Jones. Until this past weekend for their Christmas show and last show of the year Murphy hasn't been back to SNL since he left in 1984. It was during this past weekend's show in his opening monologue that Eddie Murphy delivered such a blow to Bill Cosby. Take a listen to the monologue here:

This dig at Bill Cosby did not sit well with Cosby or his people. He must have seen Murphy's appearance on SNL from his jail cell because his publicist came out with a statement blasting Eddie Murphy saying:

Wow, what a statement! "One would think that Mr. Murphy was given his freedom to leave the plantation, so that he could make his own decisions; but he decided to sell himself back to being a Hollywood Slave." You think Cosby took the joke well?
