The Iowa Caucus has been an absolute DISASTER for the Democratic party. They STILL don't have all the results out from yesterday's caucus. The Iowa Democratic Party has employed a new app created by "Shadow Inc." to calculate the results of this caucus. The app completely FAILED them leading to so much confusion as to who won. Then despite all of the confusion, Pete Buttigieg came out claiming victory (which he has no evidence to claim that). It gets better though, who is behind creating this app specifically? Yes, Shadow Inc. who is a D.C. based tech start up company, but who are they tied to? Acronym, a nonprofit that has poured millions into progressive causes and has a board that includes Democratic campaign veterans, some of which are tied to the Clintons & Obamas. Hmmm....Oh and rumor has it a Buttigieg staffer works for Acronym...most interesting....Acronym has released a statement separating themselves from Shadow.
Is Pete Buttigieg a cheater? Some are claiming he is as 1) He came out prematurely claiming victory when there was all this confusion and there was no evidence to prove he carried the victory home. 2) Buttigieg might have a staffer working for this organization that's closely tied to the tech based start up company responsible for the app. Both those facts lead many to think Buttigieg was playing extra dirty politics trying to run away with the Iowa caucus.
Republicans & Trump supporters everywhere are loving every minute of this chaos unfolding over there in Iowa for the Democratic Party. The Iowa Democratic Party announced today that they will have a "majority" of the caucus's results this evening at 5pm. Why a majority and not all? Here is an idea, why don't you wait until you have ALL of the results from Iowa to report on it.
