New England Patriots owner, Robert Kraft teamed up with Governor Baker and was able to secure 1.7 million N95 masks from China! Kraft sent his Patriots jet over to China to pick up these masks. The first shipment of 1.2 million is set to arrive today, Thursday April 2nd, here in Boston. The second shipment will be delivered here after as all the masks could not fit in one shipment. These masks will be given directly to the medical professionals here in Massachusetts first as supplies are low and much needed! Then around 300,000 will be sent to New York as NYC has become the epicenter of this outbreak.
While this appears to be good news and such an applaud-able act by Robert Kraft for being willing to do this and get the job done for Massachusetts, there are some out there who try to find the negative in this story. There are people out there who have taken this story and used it as a way to point out their belief of how bad President Trump is and the White House's "lack of help".
In these trying times, is it too much to ask that people try to recognize the good that is being done here, regardless of how it's accomplished? Robert Kraft was able to help make this possible for Massachusetts and it's a good thing, period. You have internet trolls out there saying that Massachusetts is left to rely on a football team to get supplies rather than the federal government...
Does it matter how we got the supplies? All that matters is that Massachusetts got it done so this is not the time to play politics and point the finger. More positivity, less negativity during these trying times.
