Massachusetts' Attorney General Maura Healey was speaking in a Government Affairs Forum put on by the Boston Chamber of Commerce, about the current COVID-19 pandemic but also the social unrest that is going on in the Commonwealth and across the country the last week and a half. She spoke out about how she is doing her part to advocate and protect the people of Massachusetts and gave advice on how we need to address the racial disparities not only in the community but in the workplace. Furthermore she acknowledged the current situation America is in by saying, "Yes, America is burning, but that's how forests grow".

Imagine being a business owner during a Chamber meeting looking for advice and support after you've been closed down for months due to Coronavirus and furthermore if on top of that your business was looted in the last week and a half with riots that have broken out across America and this is what you hear. As a business owner looking for things to be made right after you've sat by watching your business that you put your blood, sweat, and tears into, get looted in the name of "justice" by misguided looters, you're told, yeah America is burning but that's how "forests grow". Are you kidding me? Could you be anymore tone deaf? If I was a business owner who just literally watched my business burn and one of my leaders said this to me, I'd be pretty pissed off and you better believe I'd take that anger to the voting booth. Unbelievable.
