Fox News Fires News Anchor Ed Henry

Fox News made the decision to terminate news anchor Ed Henry after receiving a complaint from a former employee's attorney about sexual misconduct that occurred in the workplace years ago. Fox News Chief Executive Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace told their employees via email that Ed was suspended the same day they received the complaint as well as was removed from his on-air responsibilities while a third party law firm investigated these claims further. In conclusion, as a result of the investigative findings into the claims, Ed Henry was terminated. Henry was employed by Fox News for 9 years, starting his position with them in 2011 after previously working for CNN.

The network had their anchor Sarah Smith, who was Ed Henry's co anchor, address Henry's dismissal publicly in this way:

This latest allegation is not the first time Ed Henry has found himself in hot water and even "sidelined". Back in 2016, while working for Fox News, a tabloid magazine came out with a piece on Henry having an affair with a cocktail waitress from Las Vegas. At the time CEO Roger Ailes publicly rebuked him and put him on a 4 month leave. Henry was given another shot at Fox News and worked his way back into the network and on-air duties. This time around, it was the final straw for Henry. Additionally, this is not the first time Fox News has had to deal with sexual misconduct scandals...Both Fox CEO Roger Ailes as well as long time Fox anchor and host Bill O'Reilly were both accused of sexual harassment so the company could not afford another sexual misconduct scandal. Thoughts?
