Man Tasered on Miami-Chicago Flight After Allegedly Groping Woman

Police in Miami were forced to use their stun gun on an unruly passenger after he allegedly touched another female passenger without her permission.

The American Airlines flight from Miami to Chicago didn't even make it off the ground before police had to be called. According to the report, flight crews attempted to move 28-year-old Jacob Garcia of Chicago, Il, but he continued to be disruptive, screaming and insulting the woman and her boyfriend.

Police came on board and asked Garcia to leave Flight 2446, which was waiting to take off from Miami, but he refused. After a brief struggle, police used stun guns several times on the man as they struggled to try and get him off the plane. Garcia kept asking police why they were trying to remove him.

Passenger videos of the incident show other passengers clapping and cheering as Garcia is escorted off the flight and through the airport.

Authorities say Garcia faces a disorderly conduct charge as well as other charges.

A statement from American Airlines says crew members requested that Garcia get off the plane after he had a 'disagreement' with another passenger on Sunday. The statement says, during the incident, a physical altercation broke out between the two passengers.

The flight later left an hour late.
