New Indictments By Feds Issued In Russia Probe

Washington, DC (24/7 News Source)  --  A dozen Russian intelligence officials are being charged with trying to influence the 2016 presidential election.  New federal indictments were being handed down in the ongoing Russia investigation Friday.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein  said the Russians hacked the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign.  Rosenstein noted that the suspects are members of GRU Russian military intelligence.  It is the first direct link to Moscow in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's   investigation.  It's unlikely that the Russian suspects would ever face trial in the U.S.

Rosenstein said there's no evidence that any votes were changed because of the activities.
