MBTA Holds Emergency Drill Sunday

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) — The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) held an emergency evacuation drill Sunday morning for first responders in a tunnel near Fenway Station on the Green Line.

Green line trains were derailed around 8:45 a.m. for the drill. First responders practiced aiding injured individuals on the scene.

First responders in attendance included the Boston Fire Department, the Boston Police Department, and Boston Emergency Medical Services.

The drill did not affect passenger service. The Green Line D branch is shut down between Kenmore and Reservoir through Dec. 16 due to track work.
