BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A Brookline resident and mom praised New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in a recently published blog post, describing him as a "hockey dad."

Tova Katz wrote in the post, published in Medium, about the impact of Brady's career with the Patriots, and how she admires him as a parent.

"I was one of many who admired your play on the field in the role as Pats captain but one of very few who had the opportunity to marvel at your conduction off the field in another sacred role: that of dad to Jack, Benny, and Vivi," Katz wrote in the post.

She said that Brady's son and her son played hockey together, and that the two children were born within weeks of each other.

"After practice, you lined up with the other parents to bring a bumper to the storage shed — just another hockey dad," Katz wrote. "I remember a Sunday night hockey game in late January, just hours before the Pats boarded buses to fly out to Houston for Super Bowl LI. You were there, like any parent grabbing some last-minute quality time with your son before the demands of the workweek crept in on Monday."

She ended the post by thanking Brady "on behalf of the parents of New England."
