COVID-19 Cases In Mass. Adult Living Centers Tops 100

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The elderly population is among those most impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. The number of cases in adult living centers in Massachusetts is now above 100.

The crisis has forced the National Guard to be deployed to some living centers, including in Littleton, Chelmsford, and the Soldiers’ Home in Holyoke where more than two dozen have died.

This is a medical crisis, but also an emotional one as social interaction has become limited during this pandemic.

The Linden at Dedham Assisted Living Facility told WBZ-TV that they’re trying to help by hosting hallway bingo, video calls, and careful visits through the fence.
