House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was on CNN with Jake Tapper over the weekend where she made a lasting impression. For starters she did get a bit snappy with Tapper when at one point he asked her about needed aid for states. Tapper brought up NY Governor Cuomo's comments regarding funding where he played these comments for Pelosi: "We have been talking about funding for state and local governments. And it was not in the bill tat the House is going to pass today. They said, don't worry, don't worry, don't worry, the next bill. I said to my colleagues in Washington, I would have insisted that state and local funding was in this current bill, because I don't believe they want to fund state and local governments." Based on Cuomo's comments, Tapper asked Pelosi if she thinks that her and Chuck Schumer made a "tactical mistake" by not getting funding for state and local first. She proceeded to tell Tapper to "just calm down".
Additionally, at one Pelosi made such an uncharacteristic statement when Jake Tapper brought up the fact that former Vice President Joe Biden and his campaign made the announcement that Biden supported President Trump's partial travel ban restrictions on January 31st blocking foreign nationals from coming to the United States. He asked Pelosi if she also agreed with President Trump's decision and her answer was NOT what you would expect from her. It was almost laughable. Hear her comment here and VB breaking it down:
