Boston's Property Tax Deadline Extended

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Property owners in Boston will have an extra month to pay their property taxes due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to Mayor Marty Walsh.

The Mayor's office announced the new delay on Monday. Instead of having to pay on May 1, the city's property owners now have until June 1 to pay their property tax bills.

The city is also waiving interest on late property tax and motor vehicle excise tax payments until June 30th, if the bill was due after March 10.
