BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Actress Lori Loughlin, charged in last week's nationwide college admissions scam bust, is due in federal court in Boston on Wednesday, April 3.
Loughlin, 54, is charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
She is one of 33 parents charged in the scam, which involved wealthy figures allegedly paying others to take their children's college admissions exams, and also bribing coaches and college officials to accept their children under false pretenses.
She was originally slated to appear in court on March 29.
Loughlin is accused of paying $500,000 to help her two children get into an elite college.
Fellow actress Felicity Huffman, who starred on the show "Desperate Housewives," was initially set to appear on March 29, too, but she has filed for a delay. Huffman is accused of making a charitable donation of $15,000 to help her eldest daughter.
