Crash on Route 195 In Wareham Leaves 1 Dead

WAREHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a crash on Route 195 in Wareham Sunday morning that left one person dead.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. when a car, driven by a 19-year-old man — identified as Jack Quindley, of Carver — and carrying an 18-year-old passenger, went off the roadway, according to police. The car then hit a guardrail.

As the men were examining the damage from the outside of the car, another vehicle struck both Quindley and the car. That vehicle was being driven by a 51-year-old man from Hyannis.

Quindley was later pronounced dead after all three men were taken to a local hospital. The two other men suffered minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
