BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police announced Tuesday a reduction of the speed limit on I-90 from Blanford to the New York line.

In a tweet, State Police said that the speed limit would be lowered to 45 mph due to snow and reduced visibility.

According to the National Weather Service, wet snow is expected to mix with freezing rain through Tuesday from central upstate New York to north-central New England. Around one tenth inch of ice accumulation is likely, which will cause travel disruptions.
