NH Woman Raising Money For Service Dog's Pacemaker

EXETER, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — Julie Hannan of Exeter, New Hampshire calls Brandy, her service dog, her heart and soul.

After a bad fall, doctors told Julie she'd never walk again, but Brandy helped her get back on her feet—literally.

Now, it's Brandy who needs help. Recently, the ten-year-old chocolate lab collapsed, and Julie took her to the vet. That's when she found out Brandy has heart issues, and needs a pacemaker as soon as possible.

Julie is trying to raise money online to get Brandy life-saving surgery, and has started a GoFundMe page because she just doesn't have the money.

"I'm on disability, I have a fixed income," Julie told WBZ NewsRadio's Kim Tunnicliffe. "Brandy is my only family, my best friend, and my everything. I couldn't imagine living without her for one day."
