Iran shot down a U.S. drone. Are we going to war?

Iran shot down a U.S. drone this morning causing roughly up to $180 million in damage to the aircraft. This strike by Iran has escalated to high tensions between the two countries rather quickly with citizens wondering if we will be going to war with Iran. According to the Iranians, they claim the United State's drone was in Iranian airspace, while the United States say that report is completely false; the aircraft was doing surveillance over international airspace in the Strait of Hormuz.

There have been ongoing tensions rising between Iran and the United States after President Trump pulled out of the Iranian nuclear agreement last year and has since hit Iran with very high sanctions affecting oil exports. Needless to say conflict has been rising for some time now and with this latest take down of the U.S. drone, it has people wondering if this is the final straw in a series of rising tensions.

President Trump tweeted out about the incident this morning saying:

Naturally, the big question is whether this drone did indeed fly into Iranian airspace. Who is telling the truth? Of course, we're going to believe the Americans are telling the truth so what will Iran's move be? The Pentagon addressed this incident today and spoke directly via telephone to one of their U.S. Commanders who is based in Qatar on whether this is a dangerous situation or not:

President Trump sat down with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today and took some questions regarding this Iranian drone shoot down. POTUS Trump seems to think it was a mistake made by someone doing something they should not have been doing. Bottom line he does not believe it was intentional. In addition if it was actually intentional it was almost as if POTUS Trump was instructing Iran on how to handle this situation like "someone made a mistake" *wink wink*, don't make me send bombs your way...

What do you make of all of this? Do you believe we're going to war? I was personally impressed with the way President Trump handled himself around this incident and he seems very relaxed to me and convincing that this is not a major problem to worry about.
