Are these the 10 "happiest" songs ever released?

According to a recent survey of 1,300 people aged 30-55, these are the top 10 "happiest" songs ever released. The songs are ranked on most likely to put you in a good mood. This poll was conducted by Greatest Radio Hits and it shows that a majority of the top 20 picks came out in the late 1970's. Additionally, 58% of the adults surveyed did say that the songs that brought them happiness were released during their youth. The songs reminded them of the "good times in life without making them feel old".

These are the top 10 "happiest" songs according to Greatest Radio Hits' survey, starting with number 10 and leading up to number 1. Do you agree with this list?

10) Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley

9) Just Can't Get Enough - Depeche Mode

8) Walking on Sunshine - Katrina & The Waves

7) You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon

6) Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners

5) Livin' On A Prayer - Bon Jovi

4) Dancing Queen - ABBA

3) Stayin' Alive - Bee Gees

2) Don't Stop Me Now - Queen

1) Mr. Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra

The results are in from 1,300 people and those are the top 10 "happiest" songs that make people feel good! Do you agree or disagree? I definitely agree with #2 and #3 as my personal picks because those are two songs that are go to songs for me to feel pumped up or good. Mr. Blue Sky would not be my #1, it's a good song and it reminds me of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the Marvel movie about my favorite characters from franchise but it's not my #1. What you didn't see is #25 on the list of ranked happiest songs is "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston and that one for me would be a top 5 pick but it didn't make these people's top 10. I will say for the same reasons these people picked their picks, I would pick Whitney's tune because it reminds me of fun times I had listening to the song with my friends in college. Songs that we find the happiest are indeed stemmed from fun or enjoyable times we had with the song. Whether that's your youth, hanging with friends, driving around with your new license listening to these songs on the radio, etc. To see the top 50 ranked "happiest songs" from this survey, find more results HERE.

What would be in your top 10?
