Flash Flood Warning Issued For Boston

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for areas including Boston, Worcester, and Lowell, lasting until 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

The warning comes as the remnants from former Hurricane Florence hit New England.

"The storm is carrying with it a lot of moisture, and it's also powerful enough that it's able to wring out that moisture at a fairly good clip," NWS Norton meteorologist Bill Babcock told WBZ NewsRadio 1030. "We're expecting showers and probably some heavy downpours mixed in through the day."
