Wisconsin School Limits Talk About 'Privilege' After Parents Complained

There will be no talk of "social privilege" at one Wisconsin school after parents complained.

Schools superintendent Roger Rindo said he was directed by board members to limit the future activities about the topic of privilege, after a Martin Luther King Jr Day assembly outraged some parents.

Shortly after students were asked to take a "privilege aptitude test", which was created by the National Civil Rights Museum, Principal Joseph Moylan resigned, leading some to think he was pushed out.

Parents in other parts of Wisconsin have complained about privilege exercises in schools. Meanwhile at rural Wisconsin schools, some minority students have reported incidents of racial bullying.

Should parents, rather than teachers, have the ultimate say over what students learn in school?
