The memorial service honoring former President George H.W. Bush at Washington's National Cathedral was held today. Former President George W. Bush eulogized his father's life leading up to his final days at his home in Texas. He choked with emotion as he said his father was the best dad a son or daughter could have, then double patted the casket on his way back to his seat. Former Senator Alan Simpson said he cried while writing George H.W. Bush's eulogy so he wouldn't cry while giving it. Former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney said there is was occupant of the Oval Office who was more courageous and honorable than George H.W. Bush. Sitting in the front row were President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama, former President Bill Clinton and first lady Hillary Clinton and former President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter.
