Massive fire engulfs Notre Dame Cathedral

A massive fire broke out at the Notre Dame Cathedral. Bystanders watched in horror as one of the most visited landmarks in the world went up in flames.

Paris firefighter spokesman Gabriel Plus said, "the entire fire is out" and that emergency personnel were "surveying the movement of the structures and extinguishing smoldering residues."

The French president has said he would seek help from the "greatest talents" in the world to rebuild Notre Dame.

"We'll rebuild this cathedral all together and it's undoubtedly part of the French destiny and the project we'll have for the coming years," said Macron.

President Donald Trump weighed in and called the cathedral, "one of the great treasures of the world."

The blaze comes during Holy Week, an important event for the Catholic Church with Easter on Sunday.
