Video shows Brockton police breaking up teenage brawl

A large fight broke out on Florence Street on Thursday. More than 100 teenagers from Brockton High school gathered. Four teenagers are under arrest – and now people calling for some of the officers involved to be suspended.

A video has surfaced of the fight involving students on Florence Street following school appears to show a police officer breaking up the fight.

“When officers arrived, they observed at least 100 teens walking in the middle of the street,” said police spokesman Darren Duarte. “Many were causing a disturbance and refusing to get out of the road.”

“The officer pushed him away, and the teen took a swing at him,” Duarte said. “A large crowd rushed to where the arrest was made. Police kept the crowd away, but officers ended up detaining three other teens – one who assaulted and began to fight with an officer.”
