BREAKING:  Scott Israel, the Broward County Sheriff, has released an update on the mysterious school resource deputy for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Israel has revealed the officer has resigned, and it's all thanks to an internal investigation. The reason for the investigation will infuriate every individual in this country.

Israel spoke at a press conference this afternoon, and confirmed that Deputy Scot Peterson was on the campus when Nikolas Cruz opened fire and killed 17. Peterson was seen on video arriving at the western side of the school, and took a defensive firing position. He never attempted to enter the school, let alone confront the gunman. Israel described the report, and stated he felt “devastated, sick to my stomach.”

The Sheriff was asked what specifically the officer should have done. He responded that the officer in question should have entered the school and "address the killer. Kill the killer.” Ironically, officer Peterson was awarded the School Resource Officer of the Year in 2014.
