A 20 year old mother out of Raleigh, N.C. admitted to giving her 1 year old daughter a cigarillo, which is a cigar shell filled with marijuana. It was Facebook users who alarmed police to the incident that was believed to have occurred between December 2017 and January 2018. The mother did admit to aiding her daughter and is charged with child abuse, marijuana possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She appeared in court on March 22nd and a judge set her bail for $100,000. The child has since been placed in the protective custody of the Wake County Child Protective Services.
