I'm happy to announce that this week's "Local Leader" is "Hope's Closet Boutique" located in Weymouth, MA. This lovely little boutique is surprisingly a non-profit resale clothing shop where all the proceeds go to charity. That's right, EVERYTHING sold in this boutique gives back to a charity.
Hope's Closet Boutique is run by owner Cheryl Morris (pictured above) and all the proceeds from her boutique go to charities in the community that are geared towards helping widows, orphans, and the hungry and homeless. Nor her or any of her volunteers take a cut or make a profit. The items at the boutique are very generously priced and they even have senior discounts at the shop every Tuesday! This boutique survives solely on donations from the surrounding community.
There are a couple ways that you can help and give back to the local South Shore community through Hope's:
1) Shop at the boutique!

3) Bring in your clothes, shoes, jewelry, or purses to donate for a tax deduction
Hope's Closet Boutique got it's name after Cheryl's dog Hope because she is considered the "hope" of "Hope's Closet Boutique". The pooch is also involved with helping others. She is a therapy dog having graduated from Dog B.O.N.E.S Therapy Dogs of Massachusetts and regularly visits nursing centers in the local community.
The mission of Hope's is: "to open the doors for women to succeed at any age! The Vision for HCB is to help women learn the importance of who they are and that they matter, how to dress to succeed in this challenging world and how to wear their hair and make-up to compliment themselves. The instructors donate their time, so there is no cost to the women who attend."
It brings me great pleasure to present Hope's Closet Boutique as this week's "Local Leader"! I personally have visited the cute shop and also donated some of my items to them. To visit Hope's to donate, shop, or just pop by, they are located at 810 Broad St. in Weymouth, MA & their store hours are:
Tues. -Thurs. 11:00 to 4:00 pm
Fri. 11:00 - 6:00 pm
Sat. 10:am - 4:00 pm
