A 19 year old young woman, Kaitlyn Strom, out of Minnesota while attending a music festival, the Winstock Music Festival, decided she could fit her head inside this truck's tail pipe. She said, "We were just all having fun and I saw this big exhaust pipe and I was like, 'Hey, my head could probably fit in that. Well her head did fit but it didn't come back out! Fire crews had to come and cut the truck's tail pipe free with an electric saw. It took about 45 minutes to get her free.

Even though the McLeod County Sheriff's office did cite Kaitlyn for underage drinking, she seemed fairly pleased with herself and remained calm during the entire rescue. After being freed she did apologize to the truck owner, Tom Wold (whom she did not know) and recalled the incident saying, "I remember getting my head unstuck, and I just looked at him and apologized, and he said, 'No, I'm just glad you're OK. Don't worry about it',' she said. Wold did not request the 19 year old pay for his new tail pipe either. They took a picture together after her head was freed and she's now branding herself as the "tail pipe girl".
The good news is that the girl was not hurt. It could have ended a lot worse so thankfully it ended well. I'd still say avoid putting your head in any truck tail pipes! It seems like a fairly common sense thing to comprehend, regardless of this woman's outcome.
