I'm excited about this latest menu addition by Starbucks! Just in time for summer, they are whipping out cold foam iced tea lemonades!
If you're like me you might be wondering what the heck is "cold foam" in a tea lemonade. I know what regular foam is but what's "cold foam"? According to Starbucks, it's a twist on the classic steamed foam found in their signature coffees but instead of the hot foam, naturally it's frothed cold. It's made by blending nonfat milk until smooth, while creating layers of a creamy like texture.
Starbucks will be releasing 2 new creations with this cold foam. They are the following:
Summer Sunrise is a cold foam tea lemonade that evokes the bright morning sun with tropical pineapple infusion and lemonade that's sweetened with classic syrup, topped with a velvety cold foam infused with sweet Teavana Passion Tango herbal tea (contains milk).
Summer Sunset is a cold foam tea lemonade inspired by dramatic sunsets, this beverage gets its deep pink hue thanks to the addition of Teavana Passion Tango™ Tea to the pineapple flavors and lemonade. It's also topped with velvety, sweet Passion Tango herbal tea cold foam (contains milk).
In addition to these new cold foam tea lemonades, Starbucks also released a new refresher, the Mango Dragonfruit Refresher. It tastes apparently just as it sounds with real dragon fruit hand shaken in!
I'm off to Starbucks now to try one of these new creations! I'll keep everyone posted on how they are!
