Fireworks were once again coming out of Washington. Yesterday FBI's Peter Strzok went before the House Oversight Committee and got grilled over the course of 10 hours. What caused this hearing has a lot to do with the fact that Strzok sent numerous messages using government emails/devices to his secret girlfriend, Lisa Page, who at the time was an FBI lawyer. The messages were criticizing POTUS Trump. The use of utilizing government/FBI emails or devices reflects unfair bias within an ongoing investigation into the Russian probe that has directly to do with POTUS Trump and his campaign in the 2016 election. That's why Strzok was removed from Mueller's team that is investigating.
With that being said, here are some of the highlights:
When Texas Republican Louie Gohmert really fired up the Democrats during his grilling of Strzok when he told him "he's embarassed the FBI" and then went on further to comment on Strzok's "smirk" and wondered how many times he's lied to his wife. Dems flipped that he brought up his wife how Strzok's actions were morally wrong.
While Republicans criticize Peter Strzok, Democratic Representative Steve Cohen wanted to give him a purple heart!
Then watch the moment Chairman Goodlatte wanted to hold Strzok in contempt as well as not recognize him for a certain purpose. It turns into straight comedy. The clip is a bit long, so you can just skip ahead after the beginning to around 8 minutes in.
Then last but not least, the moment House Chairman Trey Gowdy slammed Strzok by telling him that he frankly didn't "give a damn what he appreciates". It was definitely a boom roasted moment. Take a look!
