WEYMOUTH, MA (WBZ-AM)  -- Fundraising efforts to pay Sargent Michael Chesna's family's mortgage are continuing - contributions have been pouring in, but more is needed.

Chesna, a Weymouth Police Officer, was tragically killed Sunday.

Fundraisers tells WBZ NewsRadio1030's Doug Cope while response from the public has been great, more is needed to help the family.

They hope to pay off the mortgage by Monday.

According to Jon Hodge, Spokesperson with the Tunnel to Towers foundation, cuts from $230,000 raised so far toward paying the Chesna family mortgage off, including the $100,000 donated by the foundation.

Any one interested in making a donation can do so Though the Tunnel to Towers Donation Page.
