The Coca-Cola company is seriously looking into the potential of putting out a line of speciality "recovery drinks" that infuse cannabis and their beloved cola. The drink would be not to get people "high" or intoxicated, but rather relieve pain. Think of it like medical marijuana but in drink form.
When asked about whether this information was true, Coca-Cola put out a statement saying: "Along with many others in the beverage industry, we are closely watching the growth of non-psychoactive cannabidiol as an ingredient in functional wellness beverages around the world."
The benefits of cannabidiol, a component of Cannabis, include: pain relief, easing of inflammation, and cramping relief.
As of right now, no "recovery drink" by Coca-Cola is confirmed but we do know it's being considered.
