As many of our listening audience knows, I'm a big fan of Queen. Since Bohemian Rhapsody came out this past fall, the biopic made about front-man Freddie Mercury and the creation of the band Queen, they have since been given a lot of new attention for their collection of work. Some people think Queen is overrated, not as good as people say, and not even in the top 5 best rock bands of all time. I personally think there was a lot of hype around the movie and with that people 1) get their expectations up very high and 2) get sick of the hype and as a result reject the hyped subject, in this case, it's Queen. Not to mention Bohemian Rhapsody is up for numerous Oscars which bring even more attention and critiquing to the band as a whole.
With that being said, I think Queen is great. Freddie Mercury in my opinion is in the top 3 if not number one best rock and roll front-man of all time based on his range and his ability to hit notes that no other singer could master like him. Don't even get me started with his stage presence...
