Comey on AG Barr spying comment: "I don't know what he's talking about"

Speaking at the Hewlett Foundation’s Verify Conference, the former FBI Director said the following about Bill Barr's spying comments:

“I really don’t know what he’s talking about when he talks about spying on the campaign. The FBI and Department of Justice conduct court-ordered surveillance. If the attorney general has come to the belief that that should be called spying, wow, that’s going to inspire a whole lot of conversations in the Department of Justice.

“The only thing I can say generally is that I think his career has earned him (AG Barr) a presumption that he will be one of the rare Trump cabinet members who will stand up for truth and facts...language like this makes it harder, but I still think he’s entitled to that presumption.”

James Comey has really impressed me this week. Instead of hiding and hoping people forget about all of the lies he told Congress under oath, Comey has instead finally found his spine and started poking around in politics again.

Sure hope that no perjury charges are dropped on you after the Mueller Report is released Mr. Comey. Would be a reaaaal shame for that to happen. You can't make any more vague tweets if you are behind bars.
