Somerville robber gets unexpected shove by bystander trying to help!

What's the most dangerous thing you've done? This one innocent bystander walking down the street in Somerville intervened when a bank robber was running by him on the street. The man, now identified as Dave Powers shoved the bank robber, taking the robber by surprise thus resulting in him dropping the bag he was carrying his loot in. If you were in a situation like Powers, how many of you could say you would intervene like this? Especially when it takes you by surprise...no one ever expects to come in contact with a robber while you're minding your own business walking down the street.

Just take a look at this moment & how it unfolded:

While Powers did help prevent the robber from fleeing with the money, the suspect is still at large as of the publishing of this blog. The man at large robbed a Middlesex Federal Savings Bank near Davis Square in Somerville and police are asking for any information or suspected suspicious activity to report it to them immediately. The suspect is being described as follows:

Share with us your stories of intervening in a dangerous situation! Some of you had some FANTASTIC stories of you being courageous. I think it's safe to say there are some heroes out there among the WRKO listeners!
