BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) —In a new report, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health said six probable cases of vaping-related lung illnesses have been linked to products from state-licensed marijuana companies.

These are the first cases tied to cannabis vapes purchased at legal stores out of the 90 cases of lung injury identified by the state.

Health department officials said that they have not yet determined the exact cause of vaping-related lung injury.

In the report, the department said they recommend “avoiding the use of all vaping products until more is known about the cause” of the illnesses.
