Well, things have certainly gotten complicated all of a sudden. With all this coronavirus craziness going on right now, I can't help but get a little nostalgic for a simpler time. Like, say, 2019 for example. (Note: everything in bold is now gone.)
1. I miss the days when we argued over whether or not RESTAURANTS could serve plastic straws.
2. I miss the days when it was considered a crisis to have a conservative speaker on a COLLEGE CAMPUS.
3. I miss the days when we debated the protocol of putting your seat back on an AIRPLANE.
4. I miss the days when we bickered over whether allowing a CASINO to serve alcohol until 4am would hurt LOCAL BARS.
5. I miss the days when FLAVOREDVAPING was an epidemic.
6. I miss the days when we shamed celebrities for bringing single-use plastic water bottles to the GYM.
7. I miss the days when we wondered if Mookie Betts would play for the RED SOX this year.
8. I miss the days when we mocked adults who didn't have kids for going to DISNEY WORLD.
9. I miss the days when we would get annoyed with people for being on their phones at MOVIE THEATERS.
10. I miss the days when TEACHER professional development days at my kid's SCHOOL were a real hassle.
Sing it with me, in your best Edith and Archie Bunker voices -- Those... were.. the.. days!
