Bill Maher: "Can't we even have a pandemic without getting offended?"

Comedian and political satirist, Bill Maher, hosts a regular talk show called "Real Time With Bill Maher" on HBO. Maher spoke out on his show this past Friday where he addressed people getting offended over the use of calling the Coronavirus the "Chinese Virus". Maher took the stance of defending the phrase, stating that it is not uncommon for scientists to name a disease or virus after the area it originated from; they have been doing this long before the Coronavirus came along. Within the last couple weeks, people have taken aim with President Trump for calling the Coronavirus the "Chinese Virus", claiming it was a racist thing to do. Is it though? Maher does not think so and not only explains why he does not think so but scolds those so called whistle-blowers who are crying about it.

"This isn't about vilifying a culture. This is about facts". Correct. Thank you. Maybe, just maybe people will actually not just hear Maher but listen to what he's saying because this whole monologue was spot on.
