Locals Trap Family Camping In Washington, Accuse Them Of Being In Antifa

A multiracial family from Spokane, Washington, was confronted by an armed group of locals in the small town of Forks and accused of being part of Antifa. The family of four drove a school bus for more than seven hours across the state to reach their campsite near Olympic National Park.

They stopped at a local store in Forks to pick up supplies and were met by seven or eight carloads of people demanding to know why they were there. Some people in the group were armed with semi-automatic rifles. The family explained they were just camping, but the group accused them of being bused in by Antifa to protest the killing of George Floyd.

The family drove around the cars and continued on to their campsite. Once they arrived, they began pitching their tent when they heard gunshots and power saws in the distance. They quickly packed up their tent and tried to leave, only to find the road had been blocked by trees.

While the family was waiting for the police, a group of local high school students showed up and started to clear the trees from the road. Authorities escorted the family to the police station, where they spoke with investigators. Once the family had given their statements, deputies helped them get out of town.

Officials said they are investigating the incident and have asked anybody with information to contact the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
