Warren says COVID-19 was Trump's test & he failed miserably

Senator Elizabeth Warren was one of the keynote speakers at last night's DNC. It was night three of the DNC and Warren did not miss the opportunity of prime-time to trash President Trump. While rallying for Biden/Harris and the Democratic movement to get Trump out of office, she stated matter of factly that COVID-19 was "Trump's biggest test" and that he "failed miserably". Warren went on to say that this "crisis" we are in with the COVID-19 pandemic where people have gotten very sick, died, and our economy has suffered dramatically, "is on Donald Trump and the Republicans who enable him".

Furthermore, as you can see from the video above, Elizabeth Warren delivered her speech from a children's classroom. With that, Warren and her team apparently strategically played little Easter eggs in the classroom behind her. These Easter eggs were nods to various movements and ideologies. Most people did not notice this at first until Warren's team started informing the media and they ran with it. Needless to say, the scene was set strategically to send various messages. For example, this is a breakdown of the Easter Eggs in the background:

1) The "B.L.M" letters behind Warren's left shoulder.

-The letters were individually placed in each kid's cubby. This of course is a nod to the Black Lives Matter movement.

2) A Postal Worker Jacket in the back left corner of the room.

-This is a nod to the movement to "Save the Post Office". The Postmaster General Louis DeJoy implemented new procedural changes that Democrats believed was a direct move to slow down the mail service and do President Trump's bidding.

3) Converse sneakers hanging in a cubby.

-Converse is a Massachusetts based company. This was her nod to the MA economy. Additionally, you'll spot a "JOE" sign above the cubby. That is naturally to highlight Joe as the Dem. candidate.

4) The Cat in the Hat!

-Dr. Seuss was born in Springfield, MA!

5) Reminder to Vote on Nov. 3rd

-An additional push to get people to vote this November.

6) The "Make Way For Ducklings" Book.

-This children's book written by Robert McCloskey is set in Boston and inspired by a statue in the Public Garden.

7) Dream Big, Fight Hard. Text DBFH to 30330.

-This is to promote Joe Biden's campaign and their mission.

These are some of the Easter eggs that were in the classroom Elizabeth Warren delivered her speech from. Do you like what she did here or was it cringe-worthy? Part of me likes it because I like I Spy type things where I get to search for things. It reminds me of those I Spy books I had when I was little and I loved those books! However with that being said, I don't necessarily love the messages that some of these Easter eggs push. I'm okay with the nods to Dr. Seuss, Converse, and Make Way For Ducklings, basically a nod to the local state you reside over; that's cool. I'm not crazy about the use of children's items to promote political statements like BLM or the Postal Service. Let kids be kids and not use items from their classroom to politicize them or bring about politics into their lives. There is plenty of time when kids get older for them to be concerned with heavy topics, let them enjoy their innocent, naive childhood while it lasts.

What do you think?
