Man builds "The Nutty Bar" - A Bar for Squirrels!

A man from Ohio, Michael Dutko, is a 35 year old woodworking hobbyist who decided to help his neighbor with her bird watching hobby. The squirrels in the neighborhood were eating away at the bird seed put out for the birds leaving nothing for the birds to be drawn to for the neighbor to watch. Dutko decided to build "The Nutty Bar", a squirrel feeder of sorts. He had fun with it and designed it to look like a real bar with a variety of "nuts" on tap! There is a variety of 7 different types of nuts for the squirrels to eat from. He designed and built the bar entirely himself with fun and humorous quirks to it such as the bathroom sign for squirrels with arrows that said: "Nuts and No Nuts"!

Michael Dutko goes by Duke Harmon on social media and even started a YouTube Channel called Duke Harmon Woodworking. It's a channel that showcases his craft and projects. His video on "The Nutty Bar" has received over 91k views so far!

We had the pleasure of catching up with Michael Dutko or Duke Harmon as he is know socially, and he talked to VB about how this project came to be, what went into designing and building it, how the squirrels liked it, and the world's reaction!
