Kayleigh McEnany shuts down the media in the best way at press briefing!

Today during the White House press briefing hosted by White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, the media came prepared to ask about the 1st presidential debate, which was filled with lots of interruptions. CBS' Paula Reid started drilling Kayleigh McEnany about how President Trump is handling the "threat" of white supremacy. McEnany says the President did condemn white supremacy more than any other President. Reid continued to drill into McEnany about the issue and while McEnany was trying to answer, she continuously interrupted her. McEnany finally shut Reid down by saying this: "Quite funny that the media goes haywire about interrupting and debates and chooses to pursue that very same tactic themselves. This is a White House briefing. You ask a question and you give me time to answer."

Listen:

Mic drop. Good point and response if you ask me. McEnany is spot on. Does that not seem a bit hypercritical of Paula Reid? I think it does. McEnany didn't stop there, she even called Reid out on having double standards about questioning Democrats the same way they question the White House and Republicans...

Kayleigh treated the briefing with strength and grace. She even admitted when she was got a fact wrong, saying "my bad". As VB pointed out here, can we get more media outlets and reporters to follow suit in this behavior when they are mistaken?

A lot can be learned from these press briefings. Today in particular was a good one.
