Cuomo gets testy about restaurant workers having a higher vaccine priority

Yesterday during a press conference, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo got very testy when the discussion of vaccination priorities was brought up. The idea that restaurant workers be given a higher vaccine priority was proposed and the Governor did not take that idea lightly. As a matter of fact, he got very snarky. Gov. Cuomo said the call for restaurant workers to have higher vaccine priority is "a cheap, insincere discussion". Mind you, it was just last week that Gov. Cuomo made the announcement that all New York City restaurants would be allowed to reopen indoor dining at 25% capacity on Valentine's Day.

The Governor said it was a matter of supplies available but as you can hear from the video above, his tone in addressing the idea was far from pleasant... In my honest opinion, the governor was right about one thing, that the discussion was insincere, but it wasn't the proposal or idea that was insincere, it was his response and tone. He's in a position where he oversees the state that has been hit the hardest with this pandemic AND he's just coming off a controversy over misreporting COVID nursing home deaths in the state and he's going to cop an attitude like this? Not a smart move on his part but then again as we've seen, there have been some other not so smart moves coming out of New York as of late, courtesy of Governor Cuomo...jeez.
