A tragic shooting at a steakhouse in Glendale, Arizona, left three people dead and five others injured on Sunday night (May 4). The incident occurred at El Camaron Gigante around 7:45 p.m., and police believe more than one shooter was involved.
The victims' conditions have not been fully disclosed, but the injured suffered from gunshot and shrapnel wounds. Glendale Police Department spokesperson Moroni Mendez confirmed that multiple people have been detained for questioning, though no arrests have been made yet.
The area around the restaurant, located near Grand and Glendale avenues, is now considered safe, with no ongoing threat to the public. ABC News reported that the police are urging any witnesses to come forward with information to aid in the investigation.
Bystander Lupe Rodriguez, who was at the scene, recounted the chaos, telling AZFamily, "There was a man on the ground, and it didn’t look like he made it. His father was yelling out his name. It was pretty bad."
Rodriguez managed to escape unharmed but remains shaken by the experience.
