BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The City of Boston has announced it will be lifting the snow emergency and parking ban in the city at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The emergency and ban were put into place on Sunday, Feb. 22 ahead of the massive blizzard that swept through Massachusetts, leaving over 30 inches of snow in some areas.
Any residents parked in participating discount lots or garages will have until 8 p.m. Tuesday to move their cars before regular rates resume.
The city is also issuing a reminder that space savers are only good for 48 hours after a snow emergency ends, and space savers are not allowed in the South End or Bay Village.
